Applications:
For reasons of security and energy conservation, the analysis of friction and wear properties of materials at elevated temperatures is becoming increasingly important, especially for the development and quality control of combustion engines and power plants. To meet the resulting demand of instrumentation, CSM Instruments has extended ist range of pin-on-disk tribometers with a powerfull high-temperature version.
General applications include:
* High-temperature ceramics
* Lubricants and oil additives
* Self-lubricating systems
* Quality assurance.
Features
Precisely calibrated friction and wear measurements at elevated temperatures
No cooling water supply needed
High termal stability
Automatic switch-off at selected track length or friction coefficient
Test in liquids, within their thermal stability range
Testing compability with DIN 50324 and ASTM.
Software package for PC-controlled data acquisition and instrument control, featuring real-time graphical data display, calculation of Hertzian pressures, friction and wear coefficients, sliding lifetime, etc.
